Over 1,000 more players in the portal this year compared to last
What will this mean for college football?....will that even the playing field so to speak? some of these 4 and 5 star players not wanting to set the bench and transferring to lesser schools possibly for more playing time Correct. It will mean more parity among schools. Like the star recruit kid Deion Sanders signed. He knows he can make his $1.5 mil NIL agreement and leave in 12 months.

They have the resources. Texas just went 5-7; worst season in a LONG. time. And ; finished 5th in recruiting rankings. The kid going to Jackson State is an outlier; he idolizes Deon and Deon leveraged his brand to get him money. And; he has to stay 3 years(under current NFL rules) before he can come out. Basketball is one year.

Last year, I heard a reporter on Finebaum state over 2000 players entered the portal. Only about 200 were offered new scholarships. Nota good deal
