I buy cheap scent free laundry detergent at the dollar store but still buy a bottle of scent killer product every year to spray down with before going into the woods (even though i know from experience that a deer crossing my path or downwind will smell me either way). Like someone said above - the reactions are different for every deer but being on the right end of the wind is the only way to keep your scent out of a deer's nose
