Supposably my grandfather bought his model 12 in the Late 20's for I believe $12. Paid $1 a month. At least that was the story. It still looks pretty good for all the game it killed.

My dad has an old 22 single action he bought out of a Sears catalog for 13.00 he said.
It’s a Steven’s I think. It has a button in the back you pull to cock the firing pin.
Everything woke turns to shucks

Got my first job in 1969 at age 16 making 1.60 an hour sacking groceries.
Gas was .31 cents a gallon and I had money to burn. We had a Western Auto (same catalog)
Bought a 410 single shot for $31. Still got it. Good old days. Thanks Mr Skullworks.👍

I have my grandad's 1918 model 12 Winchester . He bought it new in 1919 with his first paycheck from the Southern Rail Road. $12 for the model 12 and a box of shells. It has the second barrel on it , a full choke that is shot out to a cylinder bore. Even though it's a little loose , it still shoots fine and throws a great pattern.
