Any idea what year that was from? I’d guess sometime in the late 50’s. Maybe early 60’s.

Man that's vintage right there.
I had the Nylon 66, Remington 742 and 1100, and a couple of H & R single shots at one time. Wish I would've never been a sell this gun to buy that gun person.
I'm 56 and don't remember prices that low, but I'll bet my 91 yr. old dad saw them.

Columbus had a Gibsons when I was a kid. I remember drooling over guns when we’d go in there.

If I could go back in time, I would buy a truckload of those Nylon 66's.

They didn’t make the 1100 until the 60’s. I believe

I would say it was in the 70s. There was a Gibsons in Dothan and I bought many a box of .22LRs for my Nylon 66. I paid .50 a box because I remember it was a penny a shot. That was in the early 70s.

That’s back when cokes were a nickel but nobody had the nickel to buy one. Now they cost a dollar and you see homeless folks walking around drinking them.

Remington introduced the 1100 in '63. We had a Gibson' in Opelika....first "Chain Store" Guns/Ammo to arrive here. I'm 63....I'd say that Adv. is from around '68.

Someone here at work was reading off the same ad earlier and said it was from 1972. I guess he must have saw a date on it somewhere.

The ad also illustrates how back then, a Marlin 336 was considered a poor man's rifle and they sold them by the truck loads. They were about half the price of a high dollar Remington.
