You know looking at the restocking map and the sites where they show releases from…..assuming that’s a fairly complete list…..there weren’t any restocking efforts in Russell Co…..If I had to guess I would bet the reason why is because there were still deer populations existing along the river……So when the reigns were pulled back on deer killing and populations started expanding……you probably had expansion coming off the river that took years to merge with the stocking efforts....Just a guess but I'd bet that's how we have arrived where we are today with it
