He’s probably not getting the Oregon job. Chip Kelly is getting it and going home.
I would not blame Harsin for leaving. Oregon has unlimited money from Nike. Auburn is paying former coaches 80 million dollars, but I doubt he gets the job.
Auburn is never going to be anything. Lsu , Arkansas, a and m, ole miss, None will be anything as long as Alabama gets the top recruits.
You can’t out heart and out coach genetics and DNA. It’s mathematically impossible.
All the stuff your high school coach told you about heart and how big the fight is in the dog matter more than the dog in the fight, that’s all coach speak and lies in today’s game.
Saban has proved , he who has the most 5 stars can overcome any coaching, play calling or error deficiency 99.999999999999% of the time against any opponent or situation. As long as he is getting the 5 stars nothing any other coach does is going to matter. That depth and genetic makeup can’t be beat with any tool in the shed consistently. You could take his players and put them on any other team with just about any other coach and the end result would be the same.

Why would any program pursue Harsin? He’s always been a 3rd or 4th target for any suitor. He ain’t going any where reasonably like Oregon and can be their last option.

Far more 5 stars under Saban get drafted as first rounders than any other team....by a very wide margin. Doesn't seem like random chance to me. There's clearly improvement going on under Saban that doesn't happen at other schools.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Dabo responds to all the changes at Clemson.
Venables left for OU, the AD left for Miami and his OC is reportedly the top candidate for the Virginia job. That's a lot of change after more than a decade of stability and success. Unlike Saban, Dabo hasn't had to deal with a multitude of coaching changes and until this season has pretty much reloaded with players. Whether he got complacent or the bagmen shut off the benefit spigot or both or something else, he'll have to adjust.
I'm unsure if Harsin left (and don't think he will) whether anyone really would care, even the "Yay, anyway!" loyalists. He's still a bit of a mystery.
I guess after yesterday's vaxx deadline came and went he either got the jab or an exemption?
Update -- AU "paused" enforcing the mandate after the recent court ruling, so Harsin's in the clear for now if he didn't get it
