I hunted at Fort Mitchell along Uchee creek and along the west side of hwy 165 and across from Lawson airfield from about 1999 until around 2010 or 11. I couldn't tell you how many times I saw chasing before Rifle season opened. Opening week and on through Thanksgiving weekend was when you wanted to be there. By the end of November it was about wound down. December was dead except for a little bit of a second wave around Christmas. I shot a doe in the middle of January one time that had twin 7 or 8 inch long fawns in her.
