This strikes a nerve because I lost a dog about a month ago. Dog was kenneled 100% of the time when alone. She busted loose and hasn't been seen again.

I don't want to believe that someone would shoot a collared dog that had my name and number on it. Dog was tame and a phone call would have rid someone of the problem. If I did believe that then there would be a scorched earth policy and I am here every day.


Never know of anyone shooting a collared dog. She probably got hit by a car or picked up.
Hopefully the latter. Either one is better then being in a cage.


Really not looking for an internet debate. Dog was a trained and titled hunt test duck dog. She trained 5 times a week and aired under supervision 2-3 times a day.
She would have been hunting with me 3 days a week if she was still here.
