Spinning rod? I'd get a Shimano expride that would be $20 over our budget or a Shimano zodias. I can get you a new gloomis I'm for 150 they are 6'6 mh spinning

Thanks guys , yes spinning , I kicked my best spinning rig overboard last year helping my boy land a fish as he had lost several at the boat and was getting downtrodden. So I’ve been using some of my lesser ones , bought a Stratic reel yesterday but haven’t decided on a rod , all my other rods are g loomis E6X , st croix or Powell on my baitcasters , I had not concidered a shimano rod as i never considered them a serious rod contender . I fish Smith a lot so shakey head gets thrown a good bit and I miss my good rig .

I had a Sierra micro, thought it was a good rod, but couldn't tell ANY difference between it and the Fury. Never used a Champion.

This may not be specific enough to help you, but maybe it'll give you some peace of mind.... When you get into that $200 - $250 range for rods, you're gonna be really pleased with almost any of them.
I second what has been said already though, the Expride is an underrated rod.... really balanced for a "not custom handmade" rod.

Thanks ikillbux, that’s a good deal , yeah that’s the price range I usually spend on rods , I fish a good bit but I’m not serious enough to get into those $400 and up rods , I’d have to be on tour .

If you get one of those dobyns out need to put your hands on them everyone I've ever had or felt has been way softer than what it's rated at

I have one of each and the Expride is lighter and more sensitive IMO

It’s also a little more expensive.
