A few years back i was looking for some Buffalo Trace (don't drink it no more either) when the employee mentioned Rare coming from the same distillery, and that it was also WAY BETTER than BT. Pffft i can't remember if i poured that kerosene out, or gave it to my neighbor 😏🤣🤣

That’s the wait in line at 4:30am and hope you get a chance at a bottle …. Allocated limited release sweepstakes or some crap like that. There’s such a demand on the secondary market for resale, folks camp out to have a chance at the big name bottles like Pappy or Blanton’s.

Buffalo Trace taste like blended whiskey to me. It's ok. Sort of. Eagle Rare... whole lotta Naw. This whiskey thing lost me when people started acting like ole Evil Evan Williams was something. Huh? Whiskey + Hipsters

Call ABC in Montgomery to find which stores have it, if any. Selma ABC store usually has a few bottles. You can actually download the ABC app and view the inventory of every store and see when the allocated stuff is coming in.

I talked to a Manager at my local ABC store (who is a friend) and he has the list when the Blantons will be shipped out, but it does not say where it will be distributed

I’m going to a rather “uppety” Christmas party Friday night. Today I’ll go to the liquor store and buy 2 bottles of scotch, a nice 18+ year-old bottle and a much cheaper 10 y.o. bottle of single malt. I will come home and pour the nice bottle into my decanter and the pour the cheap stuff into the expensive bottle.
I will take the cheap stuff in the expensive bottle with me Friday night as a gift for the host (a friend of mine) and I’ll be greeted with the customary “Oh you shouldn’t have! Just take in there and sit it on the bar…”
I then just socialize and enjoy the show, I’ll witness several folks partaking of the “fine scotch” and my friend telling each of them that I brought the nice bottle of scotch, they’ll all comment on how smooth it is and make statements such as “you can’t hide money”, etc.
it works every year.
