years ago I had two big bucks start at it maybe 20 yards from me (on the ground) I was damn sure hunting something to get behind. They got within ten feet of me.

Never seen a bad fight but found a spot that looked like a rototiller had gone around in circles ground all tore up, small trees knocked over, fur and blood on the ground. Must have been some battle. My buddy shot a buck that had a huge tine hole in the side of his neck and his nose was all skinned up.

Never actually saw it but have some pics off cameras of 2 bucks fighting

I’ve seen it a few times. Also seen the outsider take a cheap shot at one. He probably killed one of em.

This is really interesting! Certainly not common, I'll never forget it, that's for sure.

I’ve seen it several times. Had 2 big deer lock up right under my stand and couldn’t get a shot at either with my bow. They fought and chased each other for about 100 yards.

I have seen them tickle tines but never full on. Only time got close was one time in NC, My dad and I were hunting close bout 100yds apart when I heard him rattling horns. I thought it was weird cause I didn't remember him bringing any but he was really getting after it for at least 10 mins. All of the sudden he shot so I went to help him drag it out when he told me that it was three bucks getting after it and that they had really put on a show. Wish we had cells phones back then.

I’ve seen several mature bucks go at it over the years. The best one, and it really took me by surprise, I was heading out to the camp late one night and turned on an old gravel cut through road, what we call Rabbit Road. I always took this road because it always had deer on it. The road cut right through a big bay field at the time, no fences. As a came around the turn I noticed a Huge buck standing right off the road, not paying any attention to me and maybe 25 yards from my truck. I stopped and kept the lights on him. It was freezing cold and clear and he was super winded, just blowing smoke like he’d been running for a mile.
I kept the lights on him for a good 30-45 seconds just in awe and then out of the shadows a freaking BOSS comes in and proceeds to whip his TAIL for the next 2-3 minutes right in my headlights, just back and forth. The crazy thing was how big I thought the first deer was, and he WAS, until Bullwinkle showed back up to finish the fight I must had interrupted. HUGE non typical, heavy brown rack and heavy body. It was a sight!

I saw a straight up fight to the death between three at one time. It was the 1st and only time I have seen an all-out tear the ground up, fur flying, knock them to the ground fight. The fight lasted a solid 10-minutes or more.

Two or three times with mature deer

Never seen them fight. Have heard them going at it. Tell you what, I grabbed an 8 point by the base one day that was injured. Man that thing like to have broke both my arms and took the hide off me here and there. I'm a good size fella and the strength coming from that bucks neck was kinda amazing. I won't grab another one....

If seen some smaller rack bucks fight, but the bat most intense battle I ever heard was an hour or so before light in a clear cut.
Sounded like two studs show nuff letting it go. They were vocal and pissd. Sun came up and they were gone
