For those that wear work boots 5 days a week, how long do they last you? I’ve been wearing Ariats for the last few years but am only getting about 6 months out of them before they really need replaced. That seems a little premature to me. Who knows, maybe my feet are just more sensitive the older I get. grin

About what I average also. 6-9 months and they are destroyed but I’m pretty tuff on them.

I've got some Redwings that came off the truck that are about 1.5 years old. They're on the heavy side and aren't waterproof but they're comfortable and have held up well.

Back when I used to wear boots I’d only get 6-9 months out of a pair depending on where I was working at

I noticed when I spent more $$ my use time went up

That may not be true w you.

These have worked well for me in steel toe - Justin- redwing - Georgia boot - carhart- I spend about $160

I hear lot of great things about thorogood (prob messed up spelling) - they 180-200$ - but I talked to multiple guys last week that love theirs and talked to guys in past weeks that do to

Good luck

Last GA boots I bought lasted about 6 mo before the lining started coming out at the heel. I bought a pair of twistedX and they kill my feet. Ariats that I have now are about three years old and are starting to come apart some. I tried ordering a pair and was told mid March, maybe.

I liked a certain redwing for a while but they discontinued it. I have since moved to a hytest boot sold here locally. I have to have at least 8" tall, full internal metatarsal, and heat resistant so I am fairly limited in models I can use. These I have now came from the boot store in Homewood across from Budweiser. I dont really like those guys in there all that well, but I do like the boots. I wear them until they start leaking, wet feet SUCK. I have been getting over a year out of these and I clean shotcfrete off them with a brick hammer quite often.

Thorogood supposed to be the hottest thing out there now - but I never used them

are you talking about wearing them in a real "work" environment (manual labor) or wearing them daily like casual shoes? I wear pull-on Wolverine boots 5-7 days/week (the square toe ones that are like a work/cowboy boot hybrid), but I also work in an office, not on a jobsite. I get 18-24 months out of them usually

I make mine last a year because work buys us some every year and I’ve tried about every brand available and none hold up to the abuse we put on em, water, rocks, mud and wet grass most days

I’ve got a pair of Bates that have been good. 2 years in and they are just now starting to wear. I wear them just about every day doing yard work or walking the dog or riding 4 wheelers.

I’ll probably stick with Bates when I buy a new pair. The composite toe isn’t heavy either.

I've had about 10-11 pairs of Georgia Farm and Ranch wellingtons over the years. Got tired of the price going up and the quality down. Bought a pair of Red Wing 1159s about a year ago. I don't wear them everyday because even after a year, I can't get the damn things broken in. Which may be a testament to how well made they are, I am not sure. At the end of the day, my hooves are killing me in them. They are supposedly USA made, which is why I gave them a shot. Jury is still out on them.

I h ad a pair of Thorogoods years ago just for the side zip and the soles were too hard for me even when I put a set of Ariat insoles in them.

I climb trees in Georgia loggers, they last about three years. When my feet are on the ground i wear Georgia giants, theyll last me a year or so. When i climbed in the giants they lasted around 6 months.

Thorogoods are good boots but there's 2 grades. The Chinese garbage ones and the USA made boots. I have a pair of USA made and they have been good boots, also have some Ariat rebars that are still going strong after 2 years...

Double H DH1552 Work Western. I wear these 7 days a week and usually get 3-4 years out of them. They are in mud, grease, oil and horse/cow $hit daily.
