That statement is not entirely correct. You turn the limb bolts down 5 turns before pressing them in a center pull type press to avoid damaging the riser. This must be done on the Hoyts as well. I've seen a few that weren't and the risers wound up bent. On the newer presses that only contact the limb tips, none of them have to be turned down.
