With water going down it will be a challenge to fish from the bank there. I guess this is the KOA at Mallard Creek. If so, I would ride on down to Spring Creek. Usually can catch something around the bridge when pulling water ^^^^This^^^^

Living in Decatur for 30 of my 37 years the river is lower than I’ve ever seen it pulled this time of year. There’s places on Hwy 20 where the river bottom is exposed they’ve pulled it so much. Don’t understand why they went so extreme this year. TVA does this when the milfoil starts to get established on Wheeler so the hard freezes will kill off most of it.

Living in Decatur for 30 of my 37 years the river is lower than I’ve ever seen it pulled this time of year. There’s places on Hwy 20 where the river bottom is exposed they’ve pulled it so much. Don’t understand why they went so extreme this year. TVA does this when the milfoil starts to get established on Wheeler so the hard freezes will kill off most of it. I wish they'd drain the whole dang river and kill the dadgum eelgrass.

A guy from TVA came by the shop this morning. I asked him why the lake and river was so low. He said, “because we’re out of water.” They pulled it down for winter pool and with very little rain it just keeps getting lower.

I depend on rain water and we have only had three days of measurable rain in north Jefferson county this month.
