What’s the mpg on the 7.3 250? Stock tires and wheels, 4x4 crew…… Averages around 12 I would guess mixed driving for a early 40’s family man typical driver. Put a camper behind it and it’ll be 6 - 7 mpg (34’ bumper pull). It was t built for mpg efficiency. I pulled my camper 6k miles and never had an issue that I perceived. It’s not a diesel, but if higher rpms don’t bother you, it will get the job done. There are pros and cons of owning a gas versus diesel and you take the good with the bad on both.

Jstocks what gear ratio do you have? I never even thought about it but if the truck I put a deposit on is waiting on a chip and I hear about it near delivery time I’m gonna be real pissed.

I can't believe how many people on this thread are looking for new trucks when their current truck have well below 100k miles. My 2014 F150 with the 5.0 has 82k on it and I'm looking for a gas saver daily driver so I can keep the miles low on the truck and keep it a long time since new trucks are now going for $60-80k. I guess it makes sense if you use a truck as a work vehicle but the math doesn't seem to work out if your truck is just a daily driver

I have a 06 GMC Sierra with 190k miles on it. It’s been a good truck but now cosmetically it’s starting to break. Things here and there. I’d love to get a new truck but I’m not paying $60k for a 3/4 gas burner. Which is what I want.

When I bought it used 6 years ago it had 13k. I’m not interested in a new truck for a while but the wife is wanting a Expedition and they can’t be found. We’ll probably order us a 2022 and wait the six months for it to get here.

That’s great news lol I need another 100’000 on mine. I have beat the body to heck but I may fix it up, repaint and clean up interior, and hopefully drive it until I die. It’s a step side and ya don’t see many of them.My wife’s truck is other end of the spectrum. Her 2007 Tacoma has a whopping 92,000 miles on it and looks like it just came out of the showroom.It is the bright red and even the paint looks great, which is amazing. I see few that color but most r faded at that age. I expect she could get what she payed for it right now.

Well, my reasoning is I’m tired of having to deal with transmission issues at 80k. I’d made the decision that unless they replaced the trans, I was trading it in. Well they’re not replacing the trans, just throwing parts at it. With 20k left on warranty I don’t want to be stuck putting a transmission in when it fails again out of warranty. Been jerked around a few times by Ford, and think it’s time to make a move. I may not even like the truck I put a deposit on, but the only way to know was to do it to get first refusal on it. Running numbers, I’m probably going to end up with less money financed than I did 4 years ago, and be driving a new vehicle. And not have to deal with a Ford dealership that doesn’t care.

I sold my 2009 f150 with almost 240K this summer after picking up a slightly used 2020 f150 this May. Flew out of state to buy it and got in before prices went crazy. Had some one offer me 10K more than I paid for it, 4 weeks ago.
I like my trucks to go 10 years or 225K. Hope this one fits the bill.

I ordered a new f250 about 2 months ago. Was delivered 2 weeks ago. So around 6 weeks from order to delivery.
My son bought a new one on the lot the same day I ordered mine. Didn’t have it a month and my sister hit him and about totaled it. Didn’t even make the 1st payment. So he ordered a new one. Hasn’t even got a build date after 3 weeks. So he’s driving my old one. Saying it may be 2 months to get parts to fix it if they can.
