I’min a swamp this morning too. Sitting by a swamp chestnut oak that sounds like it’s dropping baseballs. There were three deer under it when I walked up and I heard a bunch of pigs down in here yesterday. Hopefully it’ll be an interesting morning.

Sitting by a branch running through public land. It was a long hike in here but I saw several deer in here during turkey season

Well I goofed, around 7 the wind picked up to the point that the tree that I’m in was swaying pretty badly non stop. At 8 I decided to get down and go to a natural blind watching the main trail to a bedding area. Just as I was unclipping from my safety line I look up to see a 4 yr old + doe looking right at me, I froze and she eyed me for about 30 seconds before the calmly walked into the cutover never even flicked her tail. I got my bow ready in case she decided to step back out and waited 20 mins. and started toward the blind at which point I see another doe about 300 yds away headed in my direction so I climbed back into the stand but I’m doubtful

Didn’t see anything after the button buck came through so I climbed down and decided to stalk down through the palmetto swamp in search of pigs. About 200yds in I heard some off towards where the swamp met the bottom of a hill. Eased my way over there and could heard them grunting and crunching acorns as I got closer. I could see palmettos moving around all in front of me so I kept closing distance. At one point I had pigs inside of 10yds with no shot. Kept following them for about 5 minutes or so and then my wind swirled to them. They ran up on a high spot and stopped just long enough for me to put an arrow through one. Trailed him for about 100yds before he hit knee deep mud in a cypress bottom and I just said to hell with him lol.
