Sat on a food plot this afternoon that had three huge white oaks on the end of it. Had two does come out at the far end, watched them eat around for an hour and a half but they never came in close enough for a shot. About 10 mins till dark a dozen or so pigs came out and ran the deer off so I climbed down real quick and tried to get close enough to them for a shot. They were eating in the edge of the plot under an oak and I got close enough to spit on one of them but it was so dark at that point I couldn’t tell heads from tails on a black pig. Had one pop out into the field at 10 yards or so and I drew back with the intention of burying a broadhead in his forehead but he saw me and let the rest know I was there.

I gave up bowhunting yesterday and today to help out with one helluva youth hunt for these young men. All but one got a deer, no deer were missed and none were wounded. I almost got one of them an opportunity on his first buck this morning. We had an 8pt come out 20 yards behind us and he couldn’t get him in the scope quick enough. This particular buck is one young man’s second buck and his biggest. These guys made memories the last two days that they will carry with them for a lifetime. I was honored to be part of it. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/Y24DvV0Q/FB4-D94-F1-59-B3-4129-BADE-803-A4512-B25-F.jpg)

Good on you for taking time to help out Shaw.

Very very cool! Some of my fondest memories are having my kids on those youth hunts!
