Mathews only lists a suggested retail price on their compound bows at their site. The price is usually lower, I've heard, at the retailer.

Can someone please post the approx. cost of a Mathews Reezen 6.5, Mathews Monster, and a Conquest Truimph in a bare bow configuration ? (no accessories; I have them)

I had to sell my Mission bow and a family member is buying me a new Mathews bow of my choice for this coming season. I really like the longer axle-to-axle length of the Conquest Triumph.

Also...any pros or cons that stand out w/a Monster double cam vs. a single cam Reezen/Conquest Triumph ??

I've read a lot of info..am still a bit confused...and would appreciate any experienced hunter/users' replies. Help will be greatly appreciated...and thanks, much.

not sure of the cost of those exact ones but i shot the reezen 6.5 and all 3 monsters this year. dont over look the new Z7. talk about a smooth bow. after all of the bows i shot the Z7 was an easy choice to make.

Depending on the dealer, the Reezen will be $700 to $750, the Monster $750 to $800 and the Triumph $900 to $1000.

I haven't shot the triumph, but the reezen is no where near as good shooting as the z7 or the monster 7 (and I owned a reezen 7 up till about 4 months ago)...don't let the short ATA of the Z7 scare you, it shoots nice

I've heard Z 7's are really smooth in the draw. I want a 50-60 lb. bow this time. 60-70 lbs. is a bit much for my cervical spine condition. Much obliged...I'll definitely shoot a Z7 when making a choice.

I'm thinking of converting to a hip quiver instead of a bow mounted quiver. They seem more accessible to me but I've never heard the pros/cons on them.

I have my TruGlo 5-pin sight w/light, 4" stabilizer, braided wrist strap, and Hurricane Ex. release...so all should be ready to go after making a decision.

IIRC the monkey tails come installed with all of the bows I mentioned ?? I assume a Dealer would install my own accessories (minus a peep sight) at no charge when I purchase the bow from them??

Hopefully Walter Craig in Montgomery will have these bows at these prices. It's the closest store to me.

foldemup, I was a little scared of the shorter ATA of the Z7. I'll sure take your experienced reply. You saw that I was choosing the longest ATA bows...good eye...and Thanks for the info.

It seems the Z7 (or Monster) is shaping up to be good choices of the lot I've listed.

Hopefully the price of a Z7 is in the same price range ???

if you can get to prattville check out archery unlimited. best prices i found on the bows. they installed my sights, arrow rest and all of that at no charge. they have a very knowledgable staff there and are a pleasure to do business with. the Z7 there was $699.00 just about everywhere else was $775.00.

Now that sounds great, Bowhunter84. P-ville is only 21 miles away...Montgomery is 18...little difference for good savings. I was about to ask for a recommendation for a dealer in my area.

i bought a reezen last october for 600 bucks off th eshelf. it may be becasue i am left handed though. the z7s run 799 i believe in mobile.

Take Bowhunter84's advice and go see Rick at Archery Unlimited in Prattville. Rick and his staff are top notch. They know how to set up and tune a bow, the right way. This was my 4th year shooting for Archery Unlimited. I work on my own equipment, but I wouldn't think twice about letting Rick or one his guys set up my bow for me. If I didn't feel that way, I wouldn't be shooting for them.

I just bought my son a Matthews Z-7 from Rick in Prattville. He suggested the QAD drop away rest and I added the G5 4pin sight.

The bow was $699. One of the other two things was $134 and I forgot what the other one was but I walked out the door with $1,000 less cash. Pretty good deal IMHO.

And my son is very lucky that I am left handed or he would be getting a Matthews Switchback and Daddy would be shooting that Z7. I was very tempted with the Hoyt but for the extra $200 steered me back to Matthews.

You fellows have helped me more than you'll ever know...and I really appreciate it. Thank you.

I'm glad I asked this question as I really needed the help. Other 'unmentioned' stores are good but are a good bit higher in price than what has been mentioned. With a very limited income...even if someone else is paying this tab...I want to buy at the best price. And the service/Pro Staff sounds great at Archery Unlimited. Really cool. I got the directions there as per their web site.

I too looked at Hoyt bows online. I can't sway from Mathews for some reason. They are fine bows and I like them a lot. I wasn't impressed w/PSA and other brands. I guess Mathews has me cornered. lol

L. did you shoot the Bear Attack... how does it compare to the Z7?

I did shoot the Bear Attack...As well as pretty much every other bow on the market...The attack impressed me A LOT the first time I shot it (as I didn't expect it to be nice)..But the second time I wasn't as convinced...I almost went with the Bear Attack but decided to stick with Mathews.... One because it is SUPER smooth and resale....4-5 years from now when I decide to upgrade again...Should still be able to get $400+ for my z7....but who knows about the Bear attack resale??? I know I shot a rigged out Bear Truth II (I believe), which is last years model and it was priced at $450...So that just didn't hold it's value enough for me...
