I might have seen some around Wing back in the day. It got busted up as well. Pretty serious stuff when they go to sucking them beaks.

Homeland security investigators? What a joke. They were there because some of those roosters were man fighters Man I had a game rooster as a pet one time. I went in the pen and picked him up, petted him and when I put him down. I noticed he kind of turned and was eyeing me like he wanted to try me. Had his little chest poked out while he was strutting. Bout the time I fixed my mouth to cuss the little muth...He was on me. In the blink of an eye he closed the gap and went right up my leg. By the time I realized it was ON, he was already waist high. Him being close to my hands, my lightning reflexes kicked in and I slapped him back. As I went for the door, I could see the fear in my wife's eye and her closing the door, fearful it might happen to her. Some how in all the shuffling I got a lucky leg sweep in. It bought me enough time to get to the door. His Spurs were cut into squared off nubbs about a half inch long. Judging by the marks he hit me 20-30 times one of which resulted in a half golf ball sized knot on my shin.standing there beaten and bloody, I had a new found respect for my little buddy. Had a grey and a kelso I let run loose one time around the shop. You wouldn’t turn your back on em much. As long as you were looking at em you’d be fine. Had Several Kelso Grey Mixes, and i named one the Terminator lol. Swear he sounded like a machine when he'd crowed lol. Had a Bunch of Blues also, they were probably my Favorites to RAISE...

Had one that looked similar to this one, meanest rooster I’d ever seen. Whopped a german shepherd and put him back across the street. Mom had to get stitches from him. I worked for Webster for a little while when I was at Auburn and he did make a lot of money. He had people coming from the Philippines, Mexico, and Puerto Rico buying birds.

There's a guy near one of my leases (near Uchee Creek SOA) that has at least a hundred of them in single cages. He was gone for a couple of years but he's back in operation now. He used to have a couple of new foundlands that patrolled his place, haven't seen the dogs this time.

I’m convinced these operations only get busted when someone crosses someone else of importance. It doesn’t take the FBI to figure out there’s a cockfighting operation going on when you drive past a house with 100 roosters tied to a stake in the front yard.
