I have lived in this little town for over 20 years and have never heard of this until now.How do you keep something like this so low key in such a small town?

No.1 rule about fight club............ It's just a limited group that do it and follow it I reckon. It's out there , unless you're involved average Joe never knows it exists.

You’d think having 50-100 roosters tied up individually with barrel for home would be a dead give away. An old van for transport and a shed for training would be tell tell signs. LOL

I used to raise some old English gamecocks many many years ago. By the first of July my uncle would gather up the young roosters for our 4th of July gathering. Those things literally wouldn’t quit fighting when they hit a certain age.
I as buying some high protein feed for some pheasants I was raising and the guy behind me was buying some high protein feed too. He said his birds could jump over 6 ft with that feed but they liked fighting him. Took me a minute to realize what he was saying. He was quiet after I told him I had pheasants, Chukar and quail I was raising to train my dog.

Had a buddy that use to have them and went with him a few times. Man them roosters got treated better than me lol. Lot goes into it getting them ready to fight. He had people from all over and Mexico coming to buy roosters because of whatever bloodline it was. His definitely won more than lost but he also spent a lot of time doing things to get them ready which may have made a difference.

LOL And everybody who drives by knows whats up. They just dont know the where or when. If it was that big a deal, it wouldnt be that hard to stop. I figure busts happen when pockets dont get greased. Otherwise, it just keeps on rolling. Just some of the lower end corruption in our govt

Long before we moved to this area, I worked on Sand Mountain. We had a group of contractors in. Their crane operator kept fussing about having to get home Friday night. I asked why and it was so he could fight his chickens. I thought he was kidding. He pulled out a wallet-sized, printed schedule, just like a printed football schedule. It listed the fights in Coosa, Elmore, and Chilton counties, with dates, times, locations, and whether or not it was spurs or razors. I started laughing and he pulled out a 1099 to show me his winnings. I asked about the county sheriffs. “They in on it.”
Another fellow I know from Fayetteville makes an annual trip to Oklahoma for some big tournament there. He says he has left with over$100k in a backpack more than once. Supposedly boxer ROy Jones is a big participant there. Archie Manning use to frequent some local fights
