Sounds like the place up in Sequatchie Valley. Indoor arena with bleachers and concession stand. When they had big derbies caddys , BMW , Benz in the parking lot from all over Southeast. You drove through a salvage yard up in a Holler and boom there it was. I had some friends raised and fought them. They had good birds and a good handler and fought some derbies up there. That was a different experience than at a farm in the isle of a barn with just a few birds involved. A slasher derby is bloody and quick, regular gaffs not so much.

Posts like this are what makes aldeer one in a million….the hypocrisy 😂…..cock fighting is illegal but it’s fine………tomorrow we will be complaining about someone committing a crime that we don’t like and they need to be arrested or shot 😂…..gotta love it!

Daughters travel ball coach had won the super bowl of xhicken fighting in louisiana and had so much cash he had to spend it......He turned them girls loose in Diggs Sporting goods and bought what ever kind of bats and anything else they wanted and paid for it......bought a trashcan full of bats.....

Back when my daughters played softball their travel ball coach fought chickens.... He played to win....didnt have a daughter on the team.....except all 15 of them.....He loved those girls and would do anything for them

He went and trained Oscar DeLahoya (he used to be a famous boxer) people shortly after he won it, they flew him down there to Colombia to work and train Oscars people....

Big money in chicken fighting. I know of folks who have left fights with thousands of dollars in winnings regularly, tens of thousands on occasion. I know of one fellow who has financed his life raising fighting chickens. He breeds them, teaches them to fight, then sells them for thousands. Its a big deal in some circles. Ive never been to a chicken fight myself but ive known people who do all my life. A friend of mine in high school went to the chicken fights about every weekend with his daddy. He always had a pocket full of money. Its just a form of gambling. Those who are good at it make alot of money doing it.
