There is some guy had it out for them for a couple years now and made several YouTube videos about it. Some blow hard that calls himself shark. There are a lot more out of towners show up there than locals and some are famous. It’s a lot bigger than just some good ole locals fighting some birds.

I knew a fellow that made a six figure income selling and shipping fighting cocks all over the world. He disappeared about about 10 years ago and never has been heard of since. Left a couple hundred birds , wallet everything. That feller up Sequatchie Valley way? Used to be a lot of derbies up there, BIG $. There was an indoor arena up there , heck I think the Sheriff came to them.

Might want to read a book titled "Noodling for Flatheads". It devotes a chapter to cock fighting that describes the life and longevity of a gamecock compared to a chicken that is raised commercially. Very good book, imo.
