Not gonna sit and argue but answer me one question.
How much waste and laziness do you see weekly underground?? Hint: itās more than you will see in a non union facility. Iāve seen it with my own two eyes lol.
Unless you worked in the mines we're talkin about in Brookwood you're lying. I didn't see the waste and laziness you may have seen in places where you shared in the management. Like I said above, I saw production records being set. Unity of the workforce evened out the balance between authority and those being supervised. Bosses tend to be more apt to understand the concept of "you take care of me and I'll take care of you". Those bosses who came in trying to be Mr. Badass didn't last too long in my experience underground. As for squeezing the turnip and "waste" ... Data year 2020:
As Chief Executive Officer at WARRIOR MET COAL INC, Walter J. Scheller III made $4,343,999 in total compensation. Of this total $715,161 was received as a salary, $981,701 was received as a bonus, $0 was received in stock options, $2,023,959 was awarded as stock and $623,178 came from other types of compensation. This information is according to proxy statements filed for the 2020 fiscal year. https://www1.salary.com/Walter-J-Sc...ck-Options-for-WARRIOR-MET-COAL-INC.htmlLaziness and waste don't generate million dollar "bonuses" for rich investors and CEOs.

When I got out of the army I worked in a factory that joining the union was optional, I didnāt. You could spend 5 minutes in there without saying a word to anyone and know exactly who was and wasnāt. It was about 80% and some jobs were not open to non union. Non union production averaged 3x the union production. The union kept pushing until it wasnāt an option at all not long after I left and immediately after that started pushing for pay and benefits that were so far beyond reality it was funny. The company didnāt even negotiate, just locked the gate. Not a single person that worked there when it closed ever got back to 50% of what they made there I guarantee it because they were over paid and underworked before they got greedy

Iām just gonna say this and move along. Iām a union worker and ive earned every penny I make. Our company is extremely profitable despite everyone here who thinks it canāt be done. Iām proud to be Union and wouldnāt have it any other way. And if you donāt like that then I guess you can kiss my Union azz.

That CEO is paid within the AVERAGE rate of CEOs in any industry. Good CEOs make a company, bad ones sink them. The guy has a BS, an MBA and a Juris Doctorate. Pretty good pedigree regardless. Is the pay worth it? I canāt say because I donāt keep up with their stock. Maybe maybe not. BUT unfortunately thatās a cost of doing business. And yes there is waste in ANY facility so you are either blind to it or donāt want to admit it.
One of my closest friends is a UMWA miner. Love him to death and he will flat out tell you there are plenty of things wrong with the union and the way things are addressed and at the same time support them. I realize itās hard to bite the hand that feeds you but donāt be so blind that you lose sight of everything. The unions and the company could BOTH do things better but the company isnāt the only issue. The unions have done this to themselves, well actually the greedy union organizers.

A non union shop will outproduce a union shop 8 days a week. This has been proven time after time. Anyone who thinks ārich investorsā are the largest problem at the mines in question are uninformed or worse. Most āUMWA Contractsā stipulate 95-100% medical coverage with little to none employee paid portions. Those cost have gone up 500% since Obama. Most businesses operate of a net margin less than 12%. Insurance cost alone can erode this number significantly. Business have had to get creative in order to still offer good benefits yet still turn a profit. Thereās only so much money you can squeeze from a turnip. I have friends on both sides of the Shoal Creek Mine contract negotiations so Iām not making assumptions based on just one side of the argument. Union guys absolutely tend to forget some of these things. Just like the MSM the union controls ALL communication to the miners. Take that how ever you want.
UPS is a union company and I don't see anyone out producing them. So this doesn't hold water. And UPS employees pay zero for their insurance. I guess if other non-union companies had the intelligence of the people running UPS they could be profitable and have their insurance paid. That obviously aint happening for most of y'alls companies you work for.

I don't say that because I'm a "darn socialist". I say it because it's the truth. Some of you don't value the truth very much. Look for yourself. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/x8HL0TD3/Top-10-Warrior-Met.png)

That just shows how clueless you are. That Fidelity fund and the Vanguard group I own shares in. It is a money market with regular people invested in through their 401k's. Lol. If you're in a union they no doubt have 401k accounts with those same companies. Rich investors. Lol šš

Those are investment companies investing people's retirement funds. Jeez Do you understand how things actually work? I bet your union retirement plan invests in those same money markets. Making you another "rich investor" I guess using your logic.

I hope #3 gets a lot richer , that helps me and a lot more commoners . Several mutual fund / retirement planing brokerages in there . I grew up in a union house , my dad was blessed , I am blessed and am non union . I donāt think itās a one size fits all thing . At one time unions did a lot of good in my opinion ( especially in the early days ) and still can . That being said itās a lot like other things discussed here , if itās for u and whatās best for your family go for it , if itās not and you have more options that are better or different go for that . I know of a plant right now that is non union but because of ppl leaving over pay the last couple of years ( started pre virus ) got about 35% raise in said time . I wish them the best I really do but I also want to see the company do well or those jobs will be lost . Hopefully they will come to a fair compromise for everyone .
If your gonna be stupid you gotta be tuff

You invest in the investment funds with your own interests as a priority. Those interests collectively become "rich investors" who own Warrior Met. The interests of the Brookwood Coal Miners are not shared by those "rich investors" who own Warrior Met. If they were, you wouldn't invest your money with them.

Wtf are you talking about? Using another spelling to take the name of Jesus in vain does not excuse it any more than typing Wtf changes the fact that you are using profanity that is unacceptable in this forum in it's true form.

Or maybe you can. I own shares of all different kinds of companies (401k). I bought them for one reason and thatās to hopefully make more money. However I have ZERO input in how any of those companies are run. A public company or organization is ran by the Board of Directors. Major decisions are presented and voted on by those members. Educate yourself some!! Read something other than what the union gives you.
