That CEO is paid within the AVERAGE rate of CEOs in any industry. Good CEOs make a company, bad ones sink them. The guy has a BS, an MBA and a Juris Doctorate. Pretty good pedigree regardless. Is the pay worth it? I can’t say because I don’t keep up with their stock. Maybe maybe not. BUT unfortunately that’s a cost of doing business. And yes there is waste in ANY facility so you are either blind to it or don’t want to admit it.
One of my closest friends is a UMWA miner. Love him to death and he will flat out tell you there are plenty of things wrong with the union and the way things are addressed and at the same time support them. I realize it’s hard to bite the hand that feeds you but don’t be so blind that you lose sight of everything. The unions and the company could BOTH do things better but the company isn’t the only issue. The unions have done this to themselves, well actually the greedy union organizers.
