I hit a swimming beaver at 150yds with a 22LR. I killed a swimming snake in the head at over 100 yards across the Warrior River just above Lock 7 with a 22 pistol. your turn.... ^^^Winner. Personally, doe at 388 with a Browning .270 Leupold VXIII 4.5x14x50. Knew the exact range before pulling the trigger. Cold calm morning, no wind. Shot at the biggest coyote I've ever seen standing dead still in a brand new wide open cutover one morning at 9:00. Same gun, same set up. I shot at him 4 times and he never acted like I got close. I didnt have a range finder and I shot him for 450, I went back later with a range finder and where he was standing was 627 yds from the tree I had climbed. Point is, anything over 300, you gotta know the exact distance to have a chance. There's no "guessing" when it comes to distance on accurate long range shooting. If you dnt know the distance and make the shot, it's at least 75% luck.
