Very simple. Works best with fresh vegetables. I've had it with different things in it, but this is what I do.

It's corn on the cob, red skin potatoes, shrimp, and sausage. I have also had it with rutabagas and onions in it, but I usually stick to corn and potatoes

On a fish cooker in a large stock pot, or turkey frying pot fill half way with water. Bring water and crab boil to a rolling boil. Add potatoes and cook about 15 minutes, then add corn. When the corn and potatoes are close to being done add the sausage, cut into 1" long pieces. No more than 5 minutes before being ready to eat, add the shrimp. Cover a picnic table with newspaper, pour the contents of the stock pot onto the table as soon as the shrimp meat turns white.
