I have a friend in scottsboro who's entire family is down with COVID. He has gotten a prescription for ivermectin but having trouble finding a pharmacy to fill it. Does anyone have a recommendation reasonably close?

Call every independent store in the area. I have plenty at my place in Sylacauga but not really that local.

You need to find a locally owned pharmacy to fill it.
Take on an empty stomach with a full glass of water.

Get the paste from tractor supply if nothing else. They don’t have any injectable

I'm not sure if it's correct or not but I heard a vet say to mix it up because the medicine may be concentrated in spots of the tube...just FYI

Thank you for all of the responses. The pharmacies were actually refusing to fill it, even the local non chain guys. We found a someone in east Huntsville yesterday afternoon that filled it no problem.

We found a someone in east Huntsville yesterday afternoon that filled it no problem. So you had a prescription and these pharmacies refused to fill it? I didn't realize that was a thing.

Yep it is definitely a thing. I thought his biggest problem would be obtaining the script but that was the easiest

I didn't realize that was a thing. thats BS if they are Doing that. Had one filled yesterday by a independent pharmacy in fort Oglethorpe Ga. ran by a Pakistani I think he is.

Nope, the "chain pharmacies" are all following the CDC/FDA guidelines which say that ivermectin is not an approved Covid med and refusing the fill the scripts based on direction from their higher ups. Happening all over the place. Been a ton of pharmacists dog cussed by the docs writing the scripts when their patient calls the doctors office and tells them that the pharmacy is refusing to fill the legally written script because they dont agree with the doc's treatment method. F'd up for sure but it is happening for sure. Like CAL said, call the privately owned pharmacies and based on what I've been told, there is not a shortage, just a refusal to fill it. He'd be one to comment on the shortage as he would almost certainly know.
