Tough call here. Maybe get the test, pop positive, then MAYBE he'll prescribe it. Chances are he has no clue how to prescribe it since it's not mainstream treatment for the virus. Do your homework, bring him some printed studies, and maybe bring the recommended dosage to him. No doubt he prescribes other meds everyday for off label use but since there is such an uproar among the medical community about how to treat this, a lot of them are gunshy about giving it. Unfortunately, I don't expect it to change anytime soon.
