Dont have any data for that particular powder but both my 243's do well with IMR4350 shooting 90 grain Accubonds and 100 grain partitions.

Cant speak from experience on shooting through the ribs with it but in my opinion I think it would expand well especially if you hit a rib bone. The few I shot were hit right behind the shoulder with a small entrance hole and where it came out was about the size of a half dollar and that was hitting no bone.

Hodgdons has a reloading data info site: reloading_data

They list that as an IMR powder so not sure if it's fully equivalent. If not, maybe someone has an older reloading manual from when that powder was sold.

H4831 and IMR4831 have similar burn rates, but the data is not interchangeable. H4831 and H4831SC use the same data. The short cut granules were made for better flow and less grain cutting through powder measures.

The nose is toast on most all angle shots. The secret to partition boolits is the back section. It's not going to come apart from the jacket guarrenteed. And it's 60% of the grain weight of the boolit.
