I always attach mine to my wrist strap on my bow.

I had a buddy years ago go on a drop camp hunt in CO for elk. The wrangler took him an a buddy up the moutain about 15 miles. When they got to camp he discovered he had left his release in the truck. Cost him some money to get that wrangler to go back down and get it for him. Money sure does seem to help the memory in some situations!
