Doc, a big point here is that there are known treatments for chinaflu, You know-ivermec, hydroxy & at least one more. I would much rather take my chances with these known items than to chance myself with an un-approved "vaccine". I don't believe this is backward thinking. More on the lines of common sense.
Exactly.

I just had a 46 year old distant cousin die from this, same age as Me. His brother who is around 50 nearly died from it a month or so ago. These are good ole boy folks and are healthy people with no health issues and not overweight. One way or another We as a civilization have to erradicate this plaque and if in fact it was China who manufactured this plaque, they must pay the price in the same manner that Nazi Germany did.

Hmm…I wonder why a friend of mine, who has been in UAB on the covid floor (pre-existing lung issues) was moved off the floor to a regular room because there were so few covid cases there that they told her they were closing the covid ward. Her two daughters are both nurses there too and confirmed this. I know that there is not “a” covid floor and UAB is at greater than 90% capacity always, covid or no covid. Covid patients are placed on multiple floors. But no units have been closed.
GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was slow to read this PCP since there so much hating on here over the the people getting the vax. I could not emphatically tell somebody one way or the other on what to do w 100% certainty cause there so much unknown. thanks for posting
W that said - there some things u can look at to help decide for your self. Reading medical news from Bama hospital - most cases in hospital hav not been fully vaxed (around 95%) - most deaths - no vax - close to 100% - what do you know - that matches info just posted by PCP
Then from simple stand point - look at what is most of professional organizations and sports authorities doing - getting vax - Bama football at 95% - Saban must be an idiot right?
Maybe we Alabamians are the shear minority geniuses not getting it 🤣🤣
Usually I would not say crap - but when there so much dookie being spread in here against - I will say something if i believe in the other direction. None of us hav all the answers w this virus- it has to b your decision - but I would b dang if I would hate on it when I did not know fully and some dude in here dies because of it. I know dudes who died from it - don’t know any who got vaxed and did. And I hav heard even if u had virus - u got six month immunity - also heard 9 months - also heard 12 months. So we really don’t know that either
I Ain’t grown that 3rd tit yet either - I might - but most medical experts say if a side effect were going to happen - it would happen in first 3-4 weeks - I going on 3 months now and know ton folks close to me vax - no 3rd tits there either - matches what PCP just posted
Good luck w your decisions
Great post PCP
Think I May jump off the Vax threads now - lot of them r straight dookie

If you don't want to get the vaccine - don't get it. But to deny what almost every poster on here tells you is ignorant. There are doctors, nurses, etc that are posting in this thread about the rise in cases that we are all seeing. Yet, some on here still want to say that we are somehow coerced to spew the party line or that there is a financial incentive involved. If it were financially motivated - encouraging vaccinations would be counter-productive wouldn't it ? What is the rationale for those of us in the medical field telling you guys about the resurgence or advising those with risk to get vaccinated ? Rather than listen to us that are on the front lines and that are telling you what we are seeing - they will listen to " a friend that knows a doctor" or "nurse". Maybe natural selection is at play and the virus will rid some of this ignorance from the gene pool. I'm sorry that is an inappropriate statement but it is so frustrating to see some of the BS and backward thinking. If you are over 50 or if you have underlying diseases such as COPD/Diabetes/Heart Disease and especially Obesity - you should get the freakin' vaccine. You guys make fun of the female Hospitalist Physician that although she seemed like a bit of a drama queen - I believe her plea was heartfelt and I'm sure she was speaking the truth. I just hope and pray that none of you guys with your distrust find yourself in the same position that she describes. I don’t believe almost every poster on here is pushing the vaccine. But since you are a doctor can you give me the real world consequences of this vaccine? You can’t because no one knows what this vaccine can do to you. You don’t know if it will kill you in two years or if it will cause birth defects in children. That’s the problem with a vaccine approved for emergency use only. You just don’t know what you’re taking. I don’t care who gets vaccinated and who doesn’t. But it should be a choice. And people should be able to make that choice freely without coercion from the government or doctors. And as far as that female hospitalist physician, let’s just say I know some people who know her. She’s a bit of a left leaning pro vaccine physician. But she’s entitled to her opinion on the subject just as anti vaccine people are entitled to theirs. I understand your points. Every time there has been a new vaccine - Shingles vaccine / HPV vaccine, etc. there are always these same concerns/arguments. There is no reason to think that this vaccine will suddenly start killing people 1-2 years down the road, but unfortunately, we don't have 20-30 year track history with the vaccine. What I do have is an 18 month history with Covid and I know the number of my patients that have died. I also have a 7-8 month history with the vaccine and I have had no hospitalizations, deaths, or major side effects. The people that I am encouraging strongly to be vaccinated aren't really concerned about "birth defects". Like I've said in multiple posts - its very difficult to know how to advise young healthy people on the vaccine. Many of the concerns that people have about complications from the vaccine - Guillain-Barre, myocarditis, et.al. are legitimate concerns. However, the risk of getting these illnesses are significantly greater after getting Covid than from getting the Covid vaccine. As far as therapeutics, again, there are no well controlled studies showing proven efficacy from any of these measures - hydroxychloroquine/Ivermectin/Zpac, whatever. Monoclonal antibody infusion looks most promising but is not indicated for everyone and is not practical for widespread use. The good news is that most of those people that run get hydroxychloroquine from their doctor or Ivermectin from Tractor Supply will get well and then they can tout the benefits of their treatment. However, they could have taken nothing and had the same outcome. For those with significant risk for poor outcome - please do not rely on the available treatments to "save you". The currently available outpatient treatments are pretty much equal to placebo.

I don't have a problem with the gene therapy shot, I do have a problem with mandates. There shouldn't be a jab mandate on a virus that has 99% survival rate...let people choose their own risk level and make a decision, shouldn't be worried about me if u have your jab right? I ain't gonna talk anyone into or out of because I don't want that responsibility if something did happen one way or the other...

There is a saying, you don't know what you don't know. According to the lawsuit a whole bunch of DOCTORS in Alabama filed, there are serious problems with the vaccines. So who should we listen to? You? Them? Fauci? I have read most of the lawsuit, and the things they allege are very compelling, such as an 82% spontaneous abortion rate for 1st and 2nd trimester pregnancies. Guess what? Those women can't sue big pharma. Nobody knows what the long term effects are. And even when we find out, the people responsibile will not be heald accountable.

This was all done on purpose by China. Every person who has died of this virus was murdered by those dog eating savages. I wish everyone would remember this. I’m positive our deep state was in on the plan with those commie bastards from the beginning. I wish everyone would see this and remember when the time comes right.

Honest question here doc. I'm 51, in good health, run, workout 5 days a week, not overweight (well according to the new standards, I'd be overweight and borderline obese since they say that a 6'2" male should only weigh like 172lbs) , have a low BMI and I weigh 200-205 depending on my diet for the week and for the record I'd be an absolute boneyard at 175. Point is, in addition to what I feel is being in pretty good shape for my age, I get a full physical and full blood work-up done every year to make sure my cholesterol, BP, PSA and all the other numbers are staying right where they should be. That said, what are your thoughts about the heart inflammation and myocarditis issues, they are seeing in increasing numbers in healthy vaccinated adults (admittedly most seem to be younger and male). It's issues like that that worry me when comparing that along with/to the efficacy/value of the vaccines. Originally, the vaccines were touted as vaccines against Covid. A vaccine such as the polio, and all the other common vaccines we've all taken, actually keep you from getting the virus. Well now it's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, that these vaccines dont keep you from actually getting the virus, and because of that, the messaging has had to be re-packaged. Now we are being told that it might help in keeping you from getting the virus but it does supposedly keep you from having a bad case. Well if that is the case, why are there statistically significant numbers of vaccinated adults being admitted into hospitals in increasing numbers? Especially in Europe where their nationwide vaccination rates are higher than ours. For the younger adults, I do worry about birth defects, infertility, and issues such as those and others that normally do not or may not show up for years after taking the vaccine, hence the normal long timeframe for full FDA approval of a vaccine. These things as well as other long term health issues will not show up in a 6 month clinical trial. I'm pretty well read on the virus, vaccines and treatments, my wife is in healthcare, and three of my running buddies are surgeons and physicians. All this microchip and mark of the beast stuff chatter is nothing but pure BS. My question is how long will the vaccine work to lessen the severity? Nobody even knows. Six months, a year, two years, since we are now seeing vaccinated individuals being hospitalized maybe not at all if you are a certain blood type or have a specific issue? All the issues above, as well as all the potential unknowns due to lack of formal long term studies, are those that worry me most about taking the vaccine. My doc currently recommends me not get it, given my current age and health status, especially since he thinks that I may have had covid back in early-March 2020 before all the testing really got started. Anyway, I'd like to hear yours and the other doctors on here's thoughts on the potential heart issues just now starting to be reported in increasing numbers following vaccination as well as the increasing number of hospital admissions of vaccinated individuals.
I will continue to research and watch developments and keep an open mind, but right now, I cannot personally justify taking the jab. If it truly did fully vaccinate you long term against actually getting the virus, then I'd probably do it, but right now, all the evidence is proving that it most certainly does not. Like I said, I am in no way anti-vax and everyone should make their own assessments as to whether they need to get it or not, based solely on their personal health, risk and age status. Our medical professionals should also be making sure that all of the information related to the issues mentioned above (and I formally commend you for openly listing several of them your reply) is readily available, instead of them having to dig all over the web on their own to find any of this out. Nobody is really talking about the issues mentioned above and you will not find them mentioned anywhere unless you are actively searching and know exactly what to look for. We are definitely in very very strange times, and uncharted waters. Look forward to yours and others replies.

Great post Abolt. I’m 67, eat healthy, workout 3-4 times a week, 6’2-180lbs as Abolt very good shape got my age. No underlining health issues, yearly physicals and blood work. Never smoked, take immune system vitamins & minerals daily. I appreciate your response and assessment of our situations.

Great post PCP
Think I May jump off the Vax threads now - lot of them r straight dookie Thanks, but understand that all I did was post a text that was forwarded to me, written by someone I don't know very well. I don't doubt that she has seen 200 people die from covid. She works on the floor of a big hospital where all the covid patients get sent, and has been working there since it started. So if anyone in that hospital died from covid in the past 18 months she probably had some contact with them. I don't doubt her story, but it's just her perceptions based on her experience. Dealing with covid patients every working day for 18 months has no doubt given her a different perspective from someone like me who is rarely in contact with anyone who has it. I haven't posted anything about my personal thoughts regarding covid in a good while, so I might as well give it a try. My thoughts are based on my perspective, which is different from that of anyone else. I grew up watching Roy Rogers on TV every afternoon, and he taught me that the world is made up of the Good Guys who wear white hats, and the Bad Guys who wear black hats. Maybe I eventually realized the world is a little more complicated than that, but I don't think there is any question that I still tend to view the world through my Roy Rogers filter. So when covid started, I thought it was pretty obvious that the CCP was the primary Bad Guy. They benefitted too much from it for it to just be a coincidence, and their cover story regarding bats made no sense. As time went on, I reached the conclusion that there were probably people in our own country and own government who were also wearing the Black Hats. And their plan worked; they got rid of their biggest enemy and got their own guy elected president. I don't think we can imagine how much control the CCP now has over the USA government. Now obviously, Trump was the guy wearing the White Hat and representing Roy Rogers in the story. He certainly had a lot of flaws as president, but I honestly believe that he wanted good things for America, and supported concepts like Freedom and Liberty far more than his opponents. One of the things the media kept emphasizing in the early days of covid was that it would be many years before a vaccine was possible. I have heard the FDA cursed for decades because of the endless red tape they put on the drug companies, causing us to have to pay far more for our medicine than the rest of the world. I always thought government red tape was something that conservatives wanted to limit, not just in medicine, but in every aspect of our lives. So it wasn't surprising to me that Trump vowed to cut the red tape and get a vaccine available before the end of the year. The Left and the media ridiculed him for saying this, insisting that it was impossible. Well, he got it done, though it was kept quiet until after the election. Now of course the vaccine doesn't have the normal FDA approval; Trump cut out all the nonsense usually associated with a new vaccine or drug so that the world could get back to something resembling normal. And he absolutely had to indemnify the drug companies or there is no way in the world they could have released the vaccines. If he hadn't, someone in Lowndes county would have died and a jury there would have given a $100 trillion judgement against the company. This is the Trump vaccine. It would not exist without him. If Biden had been president when it started we would still be living under lockdown conditions, and the promise of a vaccine would still be years away. "Essential" workers would be working, but everyone else would be on government assistance for years to come. America as we know it would be destroyed; it probably is anyway, but I refuse to believe that Trump was in on it I don't know whether the various vaccines will prove to have unexpected side effects or not, but I do think that Trump is the guy wearing the White Hat. I believe that there are indeed all sorts of conspiracies against America in play right now, but I can't see the Trump vaccine being one of them. I am not encouraging anyone to take it, but I do encourage everyone to drop the idea that it was intentionally created to harm us.
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

To me it’s all about risk/benefit ratio. As many say on here - we sure as hell don’t know everything about the virus nor the vaccine. So, this is my opinion based on facts as I have seen them and “facts” that I have read. The youngest patients that I have personally had die were 53 and 54. Both males with no real underlying comorbidities. They are outliers and it is still unclear why they succumb other than being extremely ill by the time t he eat sought medical attention. I suspect both of you guys would do well if y’all contracted Covid. SC you are a higher risk due to your age but other than that you have no real co morbidities. I’m 59 and in pretty good shape. I had Covid and felt like crap but never felt threatened. I elected to get the vaccine because of my fear of spreading it to my elderly patients. I personally would recommend both of you guys get the vaccine but I do believe in your right to decide that for yourself. As far as I can tell from my experience - and I don’t do OB- their has been no real issues with the shot.

Take the vaccine. Don’t take the vaccine. We all gonna die someday.
