NC State was screwed and would’ve won it all. Oh well we can add another natty to the SEC record this year when it’s all said and done.

The NC state drama doesn’t pass the smell test. Saying now multiple players that tested positive were vaccinated. They don’t have it, period. Vaccinated or not. But why? It’s baseball and the story will disappear. NCAA tweet came at 2:10am. 15 minutes later NCAA tweets congrats to Vandy. Dewhat? Read where a player found out by Twitter - not a team meeting.

The only surprise about this is that if it were only ONE player that found out via twitter. These kids check facebook/twitter before they roll out of bed in the morning. Outside of banging on everyone's door in the middle of the night, for an emergency team meeting that's how I figure most of the players (and probably coaches, too) found out...via social media.

Yeah, I think we’ll have a few extra fans pulling for us, over it, too. Crowd turned on them the other night when NC played them with a 13 man roster, so it should be interesting since NC got rooked out playing of game 2!

I’ll pull for ST. Probly the best Ag school in the southeast. They have the horsepower to beat vandy from what I’ve seen since started watching the CWS anyway. Haven’t followed til then.

Since Vandy basically got a bye thanks to the ncaa Covid horsecrap against NC State, Vandy didn’t have to burn any pitching like MS State had to do against Texas. Whole series should be postponed until Wednesday so both staffs and teams are fully rested. Otherwise, it’s not fair to MS State, especially if the series goes to a game 3.

Neither Friday night guy - Kumar or Bednar will be ready before game 3. Leiter threw 123 pitches last outing; Christian threw 35 and should be in a better position than Leiter as long as MacLeod can make it through the order the first time without getting rocked. The Sunday guys for both teams have been less than spectacular so game 2 is probably a toss up. If it goes to game 3 probably gonna go to whichever bullpen can get it done after Rocker and Bednar give it their best shots. Game 1 is the key; State needs to steal it to have the best chance to take the series.
I'm a Vanderbilt grad but my son goes to State, so I kinda, sort of hope State wins since they haven't one yet and Vanderbilt already has a couple of trophies.
