Only time I've ever had a sub from Publix, the wife brought me home a meatball sub....which I love. It was tasteless garbage.
Firehouse is where it's at with subs.

Actually, most every one I've had from any sub place was pretty good. Kinda left me thinking "how the hell did Publix screw it up so bad?"

Try a Havanna with lettuce, pickles, spicy mayo, black olives, pepperchinie peppers, jalapenos, oil and vinegar on multigrain bread. 🙃

I worked at Firehouse Subs through high school and college, still enjoy it. But Publix subs are good, too.

You bologna sammich connoisseurs need more culture. Or cultures that is, cheese cultures, as in sharp cheddar. And white bread sux. It's like glue that sticks to the roof of your mouth. Honey Oat or Whole Grain Wheat is where it's at. Try a thick chunk of Wunderbar Beef Bologna ( link) on honey oat with a thick slice of melted sharp cheddar and with or without some yellow mustard (it's your taste buds) and you'll want bologna sammiches four nights a week for a month or two until you finally get tired of them.

I still eat Subway from time to time, but years ago 5 dollar subs was a decent deal, I will bust up some Publix subs.
