GM 8 speed transmissions SUCK. I’m 20k miles in on the 10 speed and it seems night and day difference. I have 2850 miles on my new 2021 and I agree the 10 speed transmission is way better than the 8spd. Are 10 speed transmissions now in the 5.3 1500? 5.3 used to come with 8-speed only and 6.2 liter came with the 10-speed I traded an 18 LTZ Z71 for a 20 Trailboss due to transmission issues. The 20 has the 10 speed. It gets better fuel economy and better low end get up and go. Yes it’s a 5.3
