Alright guys, I finally picked up a rifle I’ve been after for a long time, Remington 700 CDL stainless fluted 7mm. Well I’m looking at scopes and wanted to see what would everyone to with in the 8-$1000 budget. The last scope I bought was a vx-5 3-15x56, I have zero complaints and really just wondering if I may be missing something out there or to just go back with the same scope. I like the Swiss conquest v4 and swaro z3 line as well.

Leupold, Burris, vortex, Swarovski in what ever magnifications on and objective dia you want I would stay with a 30 mm tube and I prefer the german 4 crosshair.
Or I'll give you 300 for the rifle and you won't to go through the pain of all the options of scope shopping

Yea I don’t think I’m going to be getting rid of this one. I’ve waited to long to find one.

The Leupold VX5 scopes are the best scopes for the dollar you can buy IMHO.

That’s how I felt about the one I have, I can’t find anything that I don’t like about it. Just didn’t know if I might be missing something in the Swarovski line

The VX5/VX6 glass is better than the Z3 and very comparable to the Z5 across the whole magnification range. Where the Leupold’s shine are their Firedot reticle. It trumps the Swaro illuminated reticle in every category that matters to me: ease of use, battery life, zero starburst effect. Having said that I still love Swarovski’s and have several of them in rotation. All depends on what you want or expect out of your optic. If you’re gonna be dialing for distance I wouldn’t recommend either.

I have a VX6HD 3x18x52, in my opinion it is brighter and clearer vs my zeiss diavari 3x12x56. New VX 5 / 6 HD are fine scopes
