I bought a F150 from Woody Anderson on 5/17. I have yet to receive the title, is this normal? Can't get tags without a title and I think Alabama gives you a 30 grace period after purchase.

Was it new? Was it financed? I can think of a number of things that could be the holdup, but that is something they should have taken care of before the sale. Unless they changed it again, you have 21 days to get a tag. You don't have to have the title to get the tag, just a Bill of Sale and the other paperwork the dealer should have given you.

Paid cash for a 2019 F150. I have the paperwork (in case I got pulled over for no dealer tag). I'll head over to the tax office today and see if I can get tags for it. I could have sworn Woody said I had to wait on the title before I could apply for a tag.

Title app, bill of sale, odometer statement, tag receipt ( Shows advalorum taxes were paid ) = tag. You have 20 days from date of purchase. If no lien title will come in about 2 weeks form state after tag office applies for title.

If bought from a dealership they will apply for title if no lien but you do not need title to get tag. If it has a lien bank will get title till paid off.
