Shuter, I switched from halo- to sulfo- a couple years back in turf apps. Main reason I switched was price.
I have noticed very little difference in performance. Certainly not enough to warrant keeping sedge in corn when there's a perfectly good selective option.
As far as johnsongrass goes, I never saw mention of it. Glyphosate still kills it dead where I am.
