I watched a Grandmother and my Dad take their last breath and closed my Dads eyelids, it rips you to pieces. A mans greatest fear it is to lose a child who grew to a man. It takes time to recover to a point where you can go forward but the pain will go and come, I pray the Lord helps you and your family to cope with this terrible loss of your son. You know the memory of him is what will keep him with you always.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Well I really don’t how to start this but I had to make the most difficult decision I have ever had to make in my life last night. At 8:25 PM , Thursday June 3rd 2021, while laying my head on my 31 year old sons chest I heard him take his last breath after requesting to have him taken off of life support. It has really been a very difficult last 3 days for me with today being the worst. My son is no longer dealing with his pain. I’m not sure how I’m gonna get through this but I have to find a way. My whole life I spent protecting my 3 boys while raising them as a single parent. I know that the pain while one subside and then I’ll have his memories but my GOD I want him back. The whole time I spent raising my sons I would never eat until my sons had their plates first. My boys mean the world to me. I haven’t ate since Tuesday and I know that I can’t keep up this pace but I cannot find the strength to eat knowing that he will never take another bite. Sorry for the long read and I know that some of you have been through this as well…Thanks Good lord....I can't imagine your pain. As others have mentioned prayers and fond memories are hopefully what will help you get through these next days, months and years. It has to be tough to make sense of a death so young...prayers for comfort and healing
