I am really sorry to hear about your loss. Of all people, I know what you are going through. I lost my son at about the same age back in 2017. My mom died suddenly almost exactly one year later.
I can't tell you anything that will make it any easier, except that the pain softens over time.

I am sorry you had to make that decision. I had to make the the same one for my brother and my mother. You will question your decision often but you will always come back with the same answer. You did it for them despite how much it hurt you to do what you had to do.
