Well chit. First time since 2009 I didn’t draw.

You are supposed to have a better chance when drawing as a group. That philosophy didn’t work for me this time.

We average about 60 deer hunters per year. (Youth, mz, archery and rifle)

So far we’ve had 12 guys that didn’t draw this year. I’m hearing that they changed the drawing system again this year. That may be why so many aren’t getting tags this year.

I want to see the lottery data when it is available. It may be that there are just a lot more hunters applying. The odds last year were 80% for the unit I applied for. 12 out of 60 not getting drawn is exactly 80% success rate.

Anybody have a suggestion for the best way to get a hunter safety course completion for KS?

They are sold out, w/ no "leftovers".....FYI
