Yea, the drawing should be towards the end of the month. Which part of the state does everyone go? Public or private land hunting? I know where I was last year it was stupid packed on public land, it was tough.

We go to Central KS west of Hutchinson. Have a buddy that’s an outfitter there. He’s loaded with bruiser bucks...and Rios!!!

We go to Central KS west of Hutchinson. Have a buddy that’s an outfitter there. He’s loaded with bruiser bucks...and Rios!!! I’d love to go on a paid hunt out there. I’ve always hunted public land. It’s no walk in the park, but the deer are there. I’ve been to southwest kansas with rifles and last year I did a bow hunt in northeast kansas. I’ve yet to kill anything big enough for the wall up there. If I get selected this year I’ll be going back to NE kansas for 1 more try.

I did. Fortunately we have drawn every year ( Unit 9), so hopefully it continues. Last year came down with Covid the week before my trip. The sissies that I go with were afraid for me to go for some reason. Anyway, the people at KDWPT were very accommodating and sent me a full refund for my license and tag.
