I’ve ran a Stihl gas one a lot and I own a dewalt battery pole saw. The sthil will blow the dewalt away for a lot of cutting due to power and speed.
However what you are describing I would go with the dewalt since it’s light use and your not going to use it a lot. It’s great for stuff the size of a baseball and smaller.
