I bought a Stihl 16 years ago and still use it several times a year. It's heavy, it can also be tough to crank, but it has only had to have very little maintenance. If it is something that is only going to be used occasionally, I would probably opt for the battery powered because the gas will get old unless it is the expensive canned gas.
