PCP, Prowl H2O is a pre-emergent. I sprayed it on the soil after planting. I don't think it has any post emergent uses but I may be wrong.
If I need to get the wick out, it will be full of Glyphosate.
The way you are planning on spraying the corn should work. I use a tractor pulled sprayer and use the booms to spray my stuff with. Sounds like you will be using a hand held wand to spray yours with.
