How are yall terminating your welds, and restarting on corners like this? Cant do in one pass have to stop and reposition to do top flat weld, so wrapping isn't an option. 045 solid wire ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/x8Pj8sr1/Screenshot-20210422-192445.png)

I just stop and start another weld going around a corner, but I’m just a hobby welder not a certified professional

I’f you gotta stop, bout all you can do is grind you stops down a little and make your tie-in look like you just kept going. Making good tie- ins just comes from a lot of practice from experience.

Turn the wire speed down a little maybe or your heat up a little. If you can burn into your last stop will help as well. Sometimes if your machine burns cold you might have to strike up where your gonna weld and burn through it if that makes any sense

Or a better question whats the best way to end a weld without the big crater at the end, i wont the left side to look like the right side.

Dont end the weld on that point. You need to stop your initial bead at the rounded corner and start a new bead at the point where you stopped that one and make your tie in to the initial bead at the rounded corner

Certified welder for almost 20 years. I like to weld right to left making a backwards cursive “e” for lack of a better description. When you finish, after the last “e”, you make a backwards cursive “o” filling in from the outside of it towards the middle. Takes about two loops to fill it in.

Put a good tack on each corner weld up to the tach! If leaving a crater at end up your weids when u get to the end push the bead back in that spot

That is what is commonly called a "fisheye". I have to force myself to concentrate not to make them at the end of a bead. Your last move in a run should be backwards as described by F150.

Thats the exact pattern i used and did right to left, backwards o and everything but still got crater lol. Maybe i need to step back faster
