He throws a crazy price out there every year for deer season and to fish his lakes. He's got money, he's just looking to reel in a little extra.

I just went an looked at some property down close to the holy trinity an its had tons of timber cut an some of it is mr dudleys property

Not worth half of that. Turkey population there is average at best, probably a little lower than that.

That's why I made that statement with confidence. My Russell Co. lease butts up to Dudley land. It's average at best. I'd much rather have the same acreage in Tallapoosa Co if I had my pick.

Is this tract the one that butts up to yours? You realize he owns like 30k acres in russell county alone? Some are poor turkey hunting, some is excellent.

I'm very aware that Dudley Lumber Company owns lots of land in Russell County. I haven't stepped foot on any of it. I can tell you that we lease 3,000 acres that joins some Dudley land and several other land owners. Between our land and all the neighbors, there's every type of habitat, and various ages of timber imaginable including planted pines, clear cut, thinned timber, row crops, sod farm, with hardwood stretches throughout. While it holds tremendous amounts of deer, the turkey hunting is simply average. I would not pay a premium price for an average lease. It's not worth it. With the variety of habitat we have along with our neighbors, I have no reason to believe the hunting would be exceptional a short distance away.

First year killed a double beard off of it, last year my husband and I doubled and hopefully this year it’ll produce. Weve killed a ton of coyotes and bobcats so hoping Turkey population keeps getting better.
