As hardwood prices continue to rise, the pressure to cut those hardwood bottoms increases. Most of the big river bottoms I hunted as a young man are now pine plantations.
My common sense approach is to reduce the population of turkey egg eaters. I can afford to buy a dozen Duke traps. Can't afford river bottom hardwoods.
