Im keeping a list of all you folks supporting jacking up the price just because you can. Ill go on and tell you, if you call me one day to get that big dead tree hanging over your bedroom cut, ill be playing by your rules. When i figure the price, ill be thinking "this is one of those who believes you should stick it to anybody you can just because the market is up or because theyre in a tight and really need it. Im gona use the lesson they taught me right here. " There goes all that money you made on your ammo sales. What happened to "do unto others"? I'm sitting on thousands of rounds of .22lr that I've stored for a rainy day over the past few years. Should I sell it on this site at 10 cents a round plus 3%(about half the market price) or sit on it and let someone else go without any? Or sell it at 6 cents a round so someone else can put it on Gunbroker for 18 cents a round plus shipping. I personally see no evil in selling anything for what it is worth. Selling it for less is utterly asinine. Im not telling you what to do. My point is a treejob could range in price $1000 and still be considered fair. You do what you think is right. Ill do what i think is right.

For those that missed the original post but are offering bad takes anyway....
The OP originally had a mixture of 22LR ammo...various brands (Federal, CCI, Remington, etc). 4050 rounds total. He originally wanted $800 for the lot, or about $.197/round. The cheapest 22lr on ammoseek right now is $.197/round...then you pay shipping on top of that (and one retailer is charging a $5 handling charge in addition). The OP questioned in his original post if he was too high or not.
At the first sign of blowback regarding his price (which has been frowned on in the past), the OP immediately lowered his price on the lot to $400, or about $.099/round. A pretty decent deal at current prices. Let's not forget, and this is important...ammo is "previously purchased", not "used". No one's "gotten the good out of it" already.
Capitalism was working, but, the conversation became a shitshow regarding him requesting the buyer paying the 3%, which the OP was clear about in his original post, so the OP pulled his ad completely.
So, instead of someone getting 4050 rounds of 22lr for $412 (or possibly lower depending on negotiations), no one got a decent deal, and the site missed out on some money too.
I don't know the OP, and I don't run this site. However, it seems to me he was playing by the rules, but maybe his crime was being only a seller on the site...which isn't part of the official "rules" of the classifieds at this time. The op made three post , first was the offer, second to explain his thoughts, third was to edit post and on this post he decided to drop sale, Can you show me where he changed the price ,not on the thread that i can find, Calvin did offer him 200.00 only price i see other than what he posted original,And i hate i caused such a stir j ust trying to keep somebody from getting ripped of

But, before deleting the post, he edited it to reflect the $400 price. The "Editing post to reflect a better price" post he made referenced it.

No one is getting ripped off and no one is forcing anyone to buy anything. When you own something you can price it however you please. Anyone that doesn't agree, and that has some bitcoin they purchased 2 years ago or more, I'll buy it at what you paid for it. If you won't sell it for that then you're trying to rip people off according to some on this site. With that line of thinking you're essentially saying because you didn't prepare and buy when prices were down , that those that did, owe it to you to sell it at a price YOU think is fair. If you don't like the price move on. If that's not an option for you then I'll be happy to come to your house and price your stuff for you and rid you of it.

Y’all should check out the guys on La Sportsman classifieds if ya wanna see some serious gouging. There’s a group from Baton Rouge that camp out a every different Academy store on delivery mornings and buy cheap and post them up for way more then they paid. They are lined up around the buildings waiting for the doors to open. I guess as long as people will pay the prices they are asking they will keep selling. Can’t say I blame them and I’m guilty of paying higher then normal price for some hard to find ammo I needed.

If ALL of the ammo is being sold at inflated prices, then that's the current market value. Nothing wrong with that. All it takes to change that is someone to start selling at a lower price because the supply is exceeding current demand. If I call you to come and cut down a tree and you give me what is in my opinion an inflated price, I'm going to see what your competitors price is before I commit. If your price is competitive, that's the current market value and if it isn't, someone besides you will be running a chainsaw in my yard. I'm currently sitting on a truckload of reloading components and I could have sold some of these items for 10 times what I paid for them. I haven't done this, but not because I think it's wrong. The current value is whatever someone is willing to pay for a product or service. I bought this material for my own use, and if the Bolsheviks get their way in Washington, my decision will pay dividends in a different way.
