The "boss" is the one that wrote the Classifieds rules.

Bottom line is, all he wants is his 3%, no matter how he gets it and I realize that.

I don't take time to read every thread on here but I have read the Classifeds Rules and there is not a danged thing wrong with my reading skills.

I reckon I'll continue on doing things my way and everyone else can do it theirs.

Personally, I'll never do business will a "seller" that says up front that I have to pay the 3% that I think they are responsible to pay.

On the same note, I'll never tell a "buyer" that he has to pay my 3%.

I'm done...

Just can't get past the 3% argument. People arguing who aint even involved in paying it. No wonder Skinny is considering shutting it down.

Who cares who pays as long as it is worked out?

Rule 2 should be modified to read, “If you sell something, 3% must be paid...”.

It should be clear enough and grown folks should know better, but current language implies that it is an option.

I’ve looked through the classifieds and I’ve noticed several items listed on here for more than they were brand new. Mainly weapons and ammo. I’ve yet to see anyone call those folks out the way some jumped on this guy for his price. Because he was new maybe?? Doesn’t matter If he’s new or not he can price his stuff how he wants. And who gives a rip who pays the 3% as long as it gets paid. Just pointing out that there’s more than this guy who is trying to take advantage of the present situation but no one seems to care unless you’re a newbie. I don’t blame anyone for doing it. If I sell something it’s gonna be at the going price and I don’t give a rip if you like how I price it or not. The op should’ve been the same way and told y’all to kick rocks if you don’t like it. Just my opinion.

We can talk about the exact wording. Sure. But that's not my point. My point is that people take advantage of the forum. I feel like that's what happened here. I don't care where the money comes from in the end. I'm saying when someone shows up with their first post pricing something really high and then makes a point of saying they won't pay the 3% then it feels like someone who doesn't contribute to the site in info or money. They are just taking advantage. They want all of the benefits and they don't want to pay any. Posts or cash. It comes off bad. If he had posted his sale, facoted the 3% into his asking price and just made the sale then it wouldnhave been better. I still would have not liked someone opening up their first post in the classifieds but it would have been better. This just feels like someone using the site with no respect. I don't remember how much he originally wanted. I think it was 400. That's 12 bucks. I have listed a lot of things in here that never sold and I didn't send money. Most recently I gave away fire wood and paid the the money that I offers of someone would come get it. I paid. So, in this case....12 bucks? Jist make me mad someone wouldn't pay it. In just the last few months I have gotten suggestions on a roofer, a tree guy. A gravel guy, and a general contractor to fix my deck. All after a storm came through. A member helped me clear some damage trees. Amd countless other things. My wife and I joke that the deer forum has the best info, the best people, and the best references. But using our little family and can't send then12 bucks? Yeah. It makes me mad. I trust the people here. So yeah I shamed the guy. And 12 bucks? Yeah, I'm sending 50 to Skinny now to put my money where my mouth is. I have gotten a lot more than that out of this place. THANK YOU! Skinny!

Do you think I really care if my username is yellow. Didn’t say I support over pricing. I support what the market will bear. If I need some 22 shells and I look online they are anywhere from .12 cents a round to .30 cents a round or more. So the op at .19 cents a round really wasn’t that far off from online pricing. Sure, you can get em cheaper at academy or Walmart if you have time to go by there every day at 7 in the morning.

I’ll repeat the point I’ve made several times before. If there were a minimum post count that had to be reached before posting in the classifieds, this discussion or thread would’ve never even happened.

Just for clarification purposes, I never said a word about the Op's pricing. I have never and will never say something about how anyone prices their item. That is their business, not mine.

What struck me wrong about the guys post was that he has 3 posts to his username's credit, and he came on here and stated that the buyer had to pay his 3%.

You are a new guy here, no posts to amount to anything, you want to use this place to sell your wares, yet you don't want to pay a measly 3% of your selling price so you state that someone else has to pay it for you if they buy your goods.

I don't care who you are, that ain't right.

The OP fits the very definition of the kind of person Skinny has tried to keep from abusing the Aldeer Classifieds.

As for who is responsible for paying, let me ask this question...

How many buyers on here have you ever seen Skinny call out or turn yellow for not paying 3% on something that they bought?

How many "Hmmm" threads have you seen Skinny make about buyers not paying their 3%?

I'll answer both questions. None. Zero.

But I've seen plenty of call outs, yellow usernames and "Hmmm" threads done toward the sellers.

When it doesn't get paid, Skinny gets on to the sellers, not the buyers.

I agree with Hunterbuck that Skinny doesn't care who pays the 3%, as long as he gets his money but the burden of responsibility initially does belong to the seller.
