Called a hot one in but he hung up on the other side of a downed pine at about 40 yards. Watched him strut for 30 min, but he never did take that extra 10 steps. Lots of drumming, spitting, and gobbling though. Man if he’s at 40 I’m sending it...was he in some bad stuff/no shot over that pine? Congrats on the kill ol tom! Super thick looking through the pine needles. Could see him fan out then down fan out then down. That tree looked like it uprooted in the storms last week. I almost set up in that tree. wish I did now, but was trying not to get busted. He closed the last 100 yards pretty quick.
